Nothing beats the boredom I had today. The endless movie marathon, the all-day scheming in the online world, and the endless whine of everybody about the very hot weather.

No school means no strollinG, most of all, no allowance for the day. It's getting worse. Nah, definitely, i'm just enjoying the remainder of my summer break, short summer break, or a not-at-all summer break, I guess.

Anyway, if you ever wonder why this post was entitled as "She and Her Cat", it's basically from Makoto Shinkai's 5-minute movie, it's obviously about a TALKING cat and his owner. Just a random thought. If you have the chance, check it out, you'll get funny but inspiring facts their.

Ending up the hot day, seems like it was a minute when I had dinner last night, or the other night, and the yesterday's other night. I spent the time so fast, nothing could even beat it. This morning I was just sitting in front of the tv watching NBA and just a wink of an eye, the day is ending. Did I ended up the day pointless? Fortunately, I was detoured outside the house while doing a late afternoon cleaning, and I did saw a stray kitten, wandering around the garden. The kitten is seemingly adorable rolling around the greener part of the grass. This time, I tried to be productive, got a grasp of my point-and-shoot camera, an old-school camera. LOL

In getting a good angle and position, I think I loss the capability of getting a good view on the kitten, just like loosing a cat's nine lives, you'd grew restless.

Here, I only got three good shots, and the rest were THE epic fail (LOL):

By the way, I must've ended my week dealing with a stray kitten, I guess.
Happy weekend.

costa marina samal islandFirst and foremost, before starting this Samal post, apologies for my blog readers and subscribers for not blogging on almost a month. Summer class is over and I got the chance to grab this very late summer getaway.

I spent the whole weekend dazzling around the upper part of Southern coast, Davao specifically, and thinking of a better getaway other than staying late at Davao's famous coffee experience and their unforgettable malls.

A nice spot to shade around in the east coast of Davao is Costa Marina which is located at the Babac District of the vast city, more specifically Samal Island Garden. Just a boat ride away, with a cheap fare of 10-20 pesos, you are off from the city's usual environment but maintaing the view of Davao's cityscape.

Along the Pearl Farm and other lining resorts located in the island, Costa Marina is a frequent visiting place of Davao folks and tourists. You could enjoy the beach with the entrance fee ranging from 50-100 pesos.

A view could even satisfy you while sitting under the shade of the beach's trees. The white sand gives you a lot of reason to enjoy a stroll along the bay. You could even dip yourself down in the afternoon's high tide, or shoot the scenery in the morning's low tide.

How to get there? For first timers, well I guess I have to include myself, all you have to do is, ride a Panacan-route jeepney or if you are unsure, just take a taxi all the way, drivers would instantly know it.

You should be guided by the boat crew in selecting your route or resort.

Here are some of my shots last weekend:

If i'd be given another chance, i'll definitely visit Samal again, and try island-hopping.

Owner of East Asia Royale Hotel, Rombar Bartolome widened his business career after acquiring out the whole Giacomino's Pizza company, which was originally establish by an Italian who loved the country's culture and place, which resulted to a combination of Itilian and Filipino type of taste.

After reliving and rediscovering Giacomino's Pizza, the craving for its mouth-watering dishes was also rediscovered.

I was once an avid diner of Giacomino's which was located in RD Plaza while the other one was rooted in the owner's luxury hotel, just in front of Gaisano Mall. After its branch in RD Plaza closed, I've never been engaged with its pizza again, not until a Plurkfiesta initiated by Bariles.

As I entered the place on a rainy afternoon, I was reminded of how Giacomino's spicy wings delighted me, and the Ottima Pizza which was the only vegetable pizza I'd ever liked during wet days. Bariles initiated a plurkfiesta for the Gensan and Davao Bloggers, which basically aims to relive the place and experience the 10 years of great pizza. Just in case you ever wonder, why'd the place got its green, red, and white colors, read this little wall of history:

What's new about Giacomino's Pizza? Well, I must admit I was amazed with the pizza's newly improved crust and its fresh and hot servings.>

Another thing, Giacomino's had another item for their menu, Halo-halo, which I know, will soon break name in the city.

So,these are just few of the hundred reasons why you should try out the new Giacomino's. Of course, I should.

May 1 - everyone is having a day off, every worker, and a chance for students to add another day of boredom.

Some may be bored with the fact that this day would be spent inside the house. Rainy days are fast approaching again. Those cold May mornings with heavy downfall of rain. Staying inside the house could be haggard, but somehow productive. I never even thought that this day would productive enough for my blog

May 1 afternoon is one of the rainy days of this month. I was about to leave the house when the rain started to fall down heavily. I tried to skip between steps to catch some ride off to the gym, but to my dismay, I decided to return home and wait for the rain to stop. Disappointed, I turned to my camera and capture shots out of boredom:

After the heavy rainfall, the sun shined again bringing excitement to kids of summer again. I took advantage with the unaltered position of a pair of slippers.
