Litratong Pinoy: Lila (Violet)

Sa mga nakaraang araw, medyo busy rin ako sa paaralan, maraming requirements, kaya naman, hindi bago ang litratong ilalahok ko, ULIT.

Ang litratong ito ay kuha ko matapos ang isang napakalakas na ulan nung nakaraang taon, kung saan medyo makulimlim pa ang himpapawid.

Marami ring persepyong matatagpuan sa litratong ito. Sa aking pananaw, ang emosyon ng litrato ay may halong kalungkutan at medyo weird ang dating.

Isang napakaabstract na eksplenasyon ang kulay na lumilitaw sa loob ng makulimlim na nakapaligid dito ang pag-asa. May kulay pa sa bawat madilim na ating nararanasan, at ang maganda rito, kulay LILA pa ito.

Buhay Sa Dagat:

Simple at payak ang pamumuhay ng tao sa dagat, ngunit dagat ang kabuhayan ng mga taga-roon, mga mangingisda.

Life in seashore is simple, but it is the main source of income of people residing there, Fishermen.

Magandang Tanawin ang Paglubog ng Araw:

Kay sarap umupo sa isang napakatayog na lupain, habang nagmamasid sa mga lumilipad na ibon sa himpapawid, kasabay na rin ang paghintay sa paglubog nga araw. Siguradong isa yun sa mga gusto kong maranasan.

It's good to be in a highland witnessing the sunset, while viewing the birds in the horizon. Surely, that's one experience I want to take up.

Litratong Pinoy Weekly Entry

Isang bagong linggo na naman ang dumating at panahon na naman upang lumahok sa Litratong Pinoy. Blue na blue ika nga. Ang paksa ay "blue", kaya naman karamihan sa atin ay maraming ideya kung ano ang nais ilahok. Ako naman, naalala ko ang mga litratong una kong kinuna nung nakaraan summer, kasama ang mga kabarkada ko. Sa kasamaang palad, wala akong bagong maihahandog ngayon, ngunit ang mga litratong ito na matagal ko nang kuha ay ang ilalahok ko ngayong linggo.

It's a new week again and it's time to show off our Litratong Pinoy entries. The topic is all about blue, that's why most of us have many ideas and concepts. On my side, I remembered the photos I once took last summer along with my lifetime friends. Unfortunately, I have no fresh photo as of now, but I guess these photos would qualify for this week's theme.

Ang mga litratong ito, ay napapabilang sa mga unang kuha ko, bilang isang hobbyist, medyo hindi pa maganda ang pagkakuha, at ngayon hindi pa rin. Ngunit ito naman ang nagbibigay paalala sa akin, kung saan ako nagsimula, at kung gaano ako ka-interesado sa mga ganitong bagay.

These photos are part of my firsts shots, as a photography hobbyist. These are not yet one of the good shots, even now. But these expresses my passion involving such things, specifically photography.

LITRATONGPINOY

Naging paboritong kulay mo ba ang pula? Ang pula ay isa sa mga dominanteng kulay sa mundo. Marami ring isinasagisag ang pulang kulay, tulad na lang sa isang watawat, naihahambing ito sa asul, na nagpapahiwatig ng kalayaan, at ang pula'y kasalungat nito.

Sa pagsisimula ng bagong taon, todo linis ang bawat isa sa amin. Nagkaisa kami sa lahat ng gawaing pambahay, di pa kasali ang labada. Sa unang linggo ng bagong taon, marami ang binago, may naidagdag at may naibawas. Maraming itinapon, at ipinamigay.

Tulad na lang nitong vase, pandagdag kulay sa haligi ng bahay. Nagbibigay ng atraksyon sa bawat pumapasok, dahil na rin sa pulang vase na napapaligiran ng dalawang puting vase. Malinis na malinis na ang bahay, ang family pic na dati'y naisantabi lamang, ay ngayo'y nagkaron ng pwesto. Teleponong bagong pagpag, at and telebisyong nagkaron ng pantakip at ang orasang may bagong baterya.

Nabawas-bawasan na rin ang sa tingin ko'y di nauubos na Coke cans na nakatambak sa likod ng bahay. Nagkaron ng kaunting pagbabago at naging malinis tingnan pag maraming naisantabing di kinakaiangang makita.

O, kayo? Ano-ano bang mga pagbabagong ginawa nyo sa inyong mga tahanan? Pulang vase at itinapon ang mga pulang lata ang inilagay at ginawa namin sa unang linggo ng taon.

Litratong Pinoy: Pagsalubong sa 2009

Marami na tayong naranasan bago nagtapos ang 2008, at isa na namang bagong karanasan ang aking nasubaybayan sa pagsimula ng unang araw ng bagong taon. Mga litrato ng mga bata, at pagsisimula ng 2009 sa Lake Sebu:

Ang aking bunsong kapatid na mistulang pagod ngunit nagawa pa ring ngumiti sa harap ng kamera. (My little brother who seemed tired but still managed to smile in front of the camera.)

Grupo ng mga batang nag-aayos ng kanilang lambat, habang naghahanda sa paglubog ng araw (A group of children setting up their fishing net, while preparing witness the sunset)

Ito'y isang napakahabang araw, at iginugol ko ang oras sa pagkukuha ng mga litrato sa Lake Sebu, marami pang aabangang litrato ngayong 2009.

A Last Farewell

The young man was sitting on a cold, broken chair, with light barely passing inside his cell in Fort Santiago. Knowing that 2 hours from that time, dawn would crack, and it would be the last chance to witness the new morning for his country. December 30th 1896, was a history for the country.

Jose Rizal, clinging on as the ink of his feather pen was already fading, the chance to finish a poem was at stake. With only a small slip of torn paper to write on, he began writing his farewell poem with his tiny handwriting. Bidding goodbye to the country his fighting with, his family, and his fellow countrymen. Then ended his last message while folding it inside the fading light of the lamp.

As dawn breaks over Manila, He knew he would end his 35 years of fighting for freedom. Being a docro, a historian, a novelist, a sculptor, and a swordsman, fear never consumed him. That's why he was remembered as the country's greatest National Hero who inspired the struggle against Spanish Rule.

At seventeen, Rizal devoted his life to help Filipino people. Later on, the on growing urge for freedom made him speak out for some positive changes and reforms in the Philippines, thus making the Spanish government threaten. His speeches and views angered the Spanish Governors, who were frightened by the people's growing demand for revolution. In result, Rizal was arrested after the revolution breaks. By the year 1896, Rizal was arrested and condemned to death.

As years passed, the heroic virtues of Jose Rizal is brought back to life by annualy celebrating Rizal Day every December 30. This celebration has a huge part on Philippine's history, the deeds of our National hero, Jose Rizal is one way of making us, Filipinos, proud of our heritage.

ABS-CBN's Twilight Remake: Takipsilim

I'm not really a die-hard fan of Twilight Saga, you know, Vampires and such things. Edward Cullen? Bella Swan? Obviously you heard them from those avid fans of Twilight. You've got those high-jumping fellas with pale-looking faces. OK, but here's the big deal: ABS-CBN grabbed the chance the place a Twilight remake by having their co-producer, Ignite Media, for $ 1 million US dollars. Is this an Advantage or disadvantage move? well, we'll see after it.

Well here's a few information from the upcoming TV series of ABS-CBN:

Rayver Cruz will star as Edward Cullen and Shaina Magdayao as Isabella Swan in the local television version “Twilight.” The hit vampire novel has been bought by ABS-CBN has bought for more than US$1 million with Ignite Media as co producer. The taping is set to start next year by Feb. in Baguio, Tagaytay, Bukidnon with some parts to be shot abroad. To be directed by Cathy Garcia Molina, the TV adaptation will focus on Edward and Bella’s love story to be treated as drama, romance and fantasy. The unofficial cast includes Valeen Montenegro as Alice Cullen, Gabby Concepcion as Dr. Carlisle Cullen, Luis Manzano as Emmett Cullen, Al Tantay as Charlie Swan, Yayo Aguila as Renee Dwyer, Fred Payawan as Jacob Black, Carlos Agassi as James, Chin Chin Gutierrez as Esme Cullen, Karylle as Rosalie Hale, Joross Gamboa as Jasper Hale, Jessy Mendiola as Jessica Stanley, Empress Schuck as Angela Weber, Brad Murdoch as Laurent, Nikki Bacolod as Victoria and Aaron Villaflor as Mike Newton. Rayver and Shaina were former love team partner but the tandem did not work. It seems their tandem will click in “Twilight". - yehey.com

We all know recently that the project has been a great issue around the web, especially to those who are vampires (I guess i'm reffering to those Twilight-lovers), negative reactions from th fans. A Petition was even established to contradict the rising of the remake. Many opposed. I guess the company is up with it, expected the reactions about the project. So, just let ABS-CBN work it out. I know they're giving a best shot for a remake of Twilight. Let them prove it.

So if you're an avid fan of Twilight, be off to the shooting places, abroad, and in other locations, such as Tagaytay, Bukidnon, and Baguio. Pretty sure Edward Cullen will take a long jump in one of Baguio's fine pine trees!

Filipino Christmas Habits

Two days from now and everyone will be up for another splendid Christmas day. Christmas celebration is the most awaited festivity of Filipinos. No wonder nobody does Christmas the way we do with such unique and strange habits.

The past few days, I never got tired of reading my favorite travel magazine, Smile, and got the chance to be entertained the way Tim Tayag distinguished the strange holiday habits of Filipinos:

1.) Lantern Parade Filipinos use lantern to symbolize the star over Jesus' manger. No wonder, every place and house you visit, you'll see lanterns in many forms, big and small, containing lamps inside, or even the electric one. So, spend your shifty days hanging those lanterns all year round.

2.) Christmas Caroling Imagine having yourself a good time with your favorite channel flashing on the TV when a group of children disrupts your "having a good time with the TV". Well if you're a traditionally-cultivated Filipino, get used to it. Children with those improvised musical instruments made of bottle caps and cans, with a matching improvised Christmas lyrics. So if you are tired of the repeating songs you heard everywhere, prepare your coins and finally you'll be off to a peaceful nirvana.

3.) Noche Buena Obviously happens on the Christmas eve after the midnight mass. Be sure you didn't eat your dinner to early, because you'll be preparing your appettite for the ton of food - jamon (hamon;sweet ham), lechon, queso de bola (cheese ball), lengua (cow tongue), roasted chicken, cake, and many sweets. In addition to the event, you'll get to experience dancing, sing along with the videoke machine and even see a playing Santa doing his old trick again.

4.) Fireworks Frenzy Indeed Christmas and New Year's eve are the nosiest evenings of the year, and most advantageous for the fireworks vendors, and those boom doctors, those who specialized in re-attaching lost fingers and disastered legs, but Filipinos do it happily, just lighting up the wild firecrackers, such as, Judas' Belt, Superlolo, Triangle, Bawang, and many other enojoying blasts. These are alsow the words shouted upon arriving at the emergency room when asked what's the caused of his or her burn.

Prelude to Christmas: Delights

"It's the most wonderful time of the year..." - Andy Williams

Christmas is fast approaching and you better see kids giggling again for new toys from Santa himself. What about foods? Have you decided what foods and sweets you'd like to prepare, well, i;m already off for some new grabs for this year's awaited season. Sweets? There are so many delicious picks you could ever imagine. That's why I'd like to share the sweets I'd like to chunk with in the coming eve.

1.) Brownies Unlimited- Ever tried these sweet brownies coming straight from Brownies Unlimited? Mocha Frostees, Fudge Cake Bar, Walnut Swirl Brownies, Double Choc O' Chip Brownie Bar, Tiramisu, Blueberry, Mango & Strawberry Cheesecake? Ever tried them? I'm gonna crack my head enumerating the delights of their products, but one thing's for sure, you'll surely gonna love it. Share it!

2.) Krispy Kreme Doughnuts - Good things Krispy Kreme opened a branch here in Philippines, and I've got the chance to experience the Original Glaze. Obviously, there are many varieties of Doughnuts you'd be crazy for. Not to mention the Caramel Kreme Crunch and the Cinnamon Twist. Go grab some!

3.) Pinoy Kakanin - and lastly, but you'd love for sure, especially Filipinos, are Pinoy Delights, somewhat called, "Kakanin". If you're a tradionally pinoy, you must be familiar with, Kutsinata, Puto, Sapin-sapin, suman, etc? These are just few delicacies p
repared during Noche Buena, and Dama de Noche.

Litratong Pinoy 7: Mahalagang Regalo

Hanapin nyo ako sa litratong ito

Se jeep, todo ingay ng barkada, nagpapakahulugan lang ng di pagsang-ayon ng mga nakatabing matatanda. Tawa dito, at tawa doon, kahit problema sa eskwela'y kinakalimutan, matungghayan lang ang pagtawa ng buong grupo.

Sa classroom, naghahanap ng bakanteng upuan makatabi lang ang kachismis na classmate. Sa isang napakatahimik na klase, na sinasabayan rin ng nakakaantok na titser, hayun pinatugtog ang "Kung Liligaya Ka" ni Imelda Papin mula sa cellphone na kinagigiliwan tuwing lunch time. Pag dating ng examination day, todo tago at yuko nang ulo para lang makapanggoodtime at maipareho ang mga sagot sa katabing wala ring alam sa mga pinagsasagot niya.

Ganyan ang dating namin nung nilalakbay pa ang mga huling araw ng hayskul, matapang, maingay, at higit sa lahat, walang kinatatakutan, para bang isang tagline ng balita. Kahit ganyan ang naging asal namin, natuto rin kaming maging seryoso at pilit na ipinasok sa isip na matutong tumanda kahit minsan. Naging "Black Sheep" ang aming seksyon ng dahil na rin sa amin. Ngunit masaya naman kami.

Nagtaka ka ba kung bakit ganito na lang ang mga nailagay ko sa lahok na ito? Isang punto lang ang nais kong ibahagi sa inyo, at iyon ay ang linyang, "The best things in life aren't things", kung nakuha mo ang ibig ipahiwatig ng linya, malalaman mong napakahalaga ng mga taong nakapaligid sayo, lalung-lalo na ang mga KAIBIGAN. Masasabi kong isang pack Mahahalagang Regalo ang natanggap at nakita ko nung ako'y hayskul.

Sa tingin mo? May mahalagang regalo ka rin bang natanngap ng tulad ko? Maligayang LP!

Litratong Pinoy 6: Eksayted (Excited)

Parang kailan lang nang huli akong lumahok sa Litratong Pinoy, at ako'y eksayted sa iba pang mga paksang ilalahok. Huwebes, at mapalad ako dahil iisa lang ang klase ko, at may pagkakataon pa akong makapaghanap ng mga paksa, at gayundin ang pag-gawa ng entry ko.

Ang paksang kalahok ngayong linggo ay "Excited" at lahat ng mga kalahok ay eksayted na ring kumuha ng mga litratong kalakip.

Sa pagsisimulang paksa, alam naman nating lahat na parating na ang pinakahihintay nating araw, at araw-araw rin tayong nag-eekis sa kalendaryo, habang paparating ang Pasko, tayong lahat ay eksayted.

Ito ang kuha ko nung nakaraang linggo at kalakip ang bagong kuha ngayong araw:

Isang bata at ang kanyang "mommy" ang magandang konsepto ng paksa, dahil nga makikita nating masaya sila kahit nakatalikod, at kitang-kita kung gaano ka-eksayted ang bata. Sa huling banat, nalaman kong, mama at kapatid ko pala ang nasa litrato.

Ito ang isa pang lahok ko, si manong drayber na tila eksayted sa bagong araw ng pamamasada. Mula sa ulo hanggang sa ulo, kitang-kita ang uber eksyated nitong si manong drayber. Ang masayang parte nito, naeenjoy nya kahit gaano pa kahirap ang buhay, basta cool ka lang.

Maligayang LP sa lahat.

Litratong Pinoy 5: Ang Pagwawagi

Huwebes na naman at bagong lahok na naman ng Litratong Pinoy, ako'y maantok-antok pa at wala pa sariling kamalayan, ngunit lalahok na sa linggong tema.

Bago ang lahat, kakagaling ko lang sa eskwela at naaamoy ko pa rin ang pabangong nagamit ko kanina.

Magsisimula ang lahok ko dito, at ang tema ay "Ang Pagwawagi", alam ko karamihan sa atin ay nakaisip ng Manny Pacquiao (di nga ba?). Ngunit wala namang nakakakuha ng litrato ni Pacman maliban na lang dun sa mga propesyonal. Iba naman ang magiging konsepto ko. Alam naman nating ,maraming bagay ang sumisimbolo ng pagwawagi, kaya naisipan kong iakibat ang Medalyo sa konsepto ng tema.

Ito ang medalyo ko nang sumali ako sa isang patimpalak ng SOCCSKSARGEN IT CHALLENGE, kung saan iba't-ibang paaralan ang nagsinglahukan, marami ang bigatin. Animating (Audio-Visual) ang kategoryang ipinasa sa akin. Sa wakas, sa huling pagkakataon, nakuha ko rin ang 1st place na una'y hindi ko nakamit ng nagdaan taon. Php2000.00 ang napanalunan ko, maliit mang halaga, ay napasaya ako, dahil may nagawa rin pala ako buhat ng aking talento. Isang medalyo rin ang aking natanggap mula sa ACLC, nang ako'y umaakyat sa entablado.

Hinding-hindi ko makakalimutan ang mga bagay na to, na minsan naisip kong napagdaanan ko rin pala. Ito nga talaga ay mahalaga, at pinag-iingatan ko. Maligayang LP!
