Summer Getaway: SCHOOL

Summer days are over for a frustrated student like me. Those afternoon strollings and sleepless nights are ending up, unfortunately. Nothing beat those old yogurt nights and a tiring movie marathon. Those are the things I usually do during that short summer break, and now, seems like a snap of an eye, i'm back to school. For a freshman-turning-sophomore, I know i'm not used to it, but one thing's for sure, I know i'll be used to it. Summer classes are definitely tiring, when laziness strikes, especially when you're in front of the most infamous teacher who would turn out to be the most profound and boring teacher you've ever had.

It's been a while since I've been a freshman, so many tons of homeworks and pop quizes and now, I finally caught myself unloading completed subjects, however, I'm still undergoing NSTP1 and NSTP2, along with IT ethics. Since it's summer, class hours are longer than the usual semester, and unfortunately, the subjects are taken up daily.

Who would ever forgetmy previous timeline? I must say, I'll be having a distorted summer timeline:

5:00 - phone alarms with a scary alarmtone

5:30-6:00 - snooze, snooze,snooze

6:00 - Finaly off from bed, gargle mouth

6:00-6:15 - on CR;the soap is getting thinner as days pass

6:15-6:30 - a cup of coffee or a chunk of meat is prepared in the dining table

6:30 - proper grooming for a frustrated student; hair clay, perfume and neat attire is a must

7:00 - plurk early in the morning with a handy-dandy laptop

7:15 - off for a ride to school

7:30 - prepare for a 4-hour subject. God! I hat NSTP

9:45 - off for a snack-break

10:00 - back at the lecture hall

11:45 - finally free from an insane and unbearable subject

12:00 - NO LUNCH! off to IT Ethics

2:00 - school day is over; off to school cafeteria for a late lunch

3:00 - descend back home

So? Summer class is hell, but, it's still cool being in school. There are so many things which could be done aside from keeping your eyes on those unbearable lectures, I just haven't think of those yet.

School's Almost Over

Everytime I hear the school bell ringing just below the floor we used to stay in, I never get tired thinking about the fact that school year is at it's peek and at least i'll get or should we say, I deserved a break after the tiring pressures of having a college life. My freshman year is ending, and seems like I was living the first day just yesterday. So many great thing happened, plus, a dose of ecstatic pressures as college student. Well, at last, I'll be leaving those PE's shameful dance practicums in front of a vast number of people, and a dose of memorable underdog sanctions from our college division.

School will be in silence again.

Summer's fast approaching and it's up to us how to spend this short hiatus. I can't even wait for those sleepless nights again. Staring at the computer all night long, and sleep as late as we want to. Plurk.

After this week, I'm definitely going to reward myself a lot of fun-filled activities, Rockband 2, join those priceless moments with my high school and college friends, or even stroll outside the Gensan outskirt. But, these following things would definitely be a must-try for me during summer:

1.) Take summer photographs in the famous beaches of Gumasa.
2.) I wonder if I can read a whole boring book or novel.
3.) Fix my VERY MESSY closet for it's been a year since I fixed those clothes.
4.) Eat exotic foods along the street.
5.) Listen to all the albums of The Beatles while having a roadtrip.
6.) Unwind myself through a videoke session the whole night with my friends.
7.) Make popsicles.
8.) Get myself a new pair of jeans and a comfy pair of white sneakers.
9.) Watch horror films along with my friends late at night. The Exorcism of Emily Rose or Exorcist: Dominion?
10.) I just wanna be on the beach and build castle made of Nestea Cups!
Summer is indeed all things but for me, it's also the best time to discover who you are by trying to do interesting things which will make you realize your passion.

Quite Productive Weekend

Midterm is taking its toll on me now, I 've got to review my lessons, as well as familiarizing and understanding the concepts. Sunday, i've got only 1 day left, and the examination is officially effective. The past few days, I wasn't able to review my lessons well, but promised myself to study on the scheduled Sunday.

I really hate having exams. Although I'm used to it, but it's quite annoying to hear the word "exam". You know, exam=study and tuition. Sunday: there goes my old routine, but promised to break it by studying. I must say that Sunday, is a productive day, I guess.

My Sunday ended with things brougth into accomplishments: newly laundried shirts, studied comfortably, and sketched an anime character (I guess) from the pigment of my imagination.

It's quite alarming to know that I've got to take up 3 subjects simultaneously, including my Basic Programming subject, and two minor subjects: Religious Education, and English. After a few hours of confinement in the computer, I was finally off for a soft breeze outside the house's vicinity, and it's very comfortable sitting with my mom's beatiful grown plants. Nothing beats the nice scenery I can see that time: children playing and NOTES TO STUDY. Damn! Surely, it's beautiful enough.

Later on, I was off from the outside air and transfered inside, because the ambience is getting humid, along with my sister's sprinkling on the the plants, it pissed me off. Having a comfortable setting outside while being driven off with those water sprinkles your face could probably get.

Ok, I'm learning on these things.

The bad thing about studying inside the house's vicinity, is that music distract me, and I hate it. I am usually tempted to sing and listen to music than studying. Fortunately, I am more than halfway through studying the two subjects and what was only left is my Programming Subject.

The habit of procrastinating.

Knowing that i'm already finished, my habit of sketching out different things occured. I usually sketch whenever i'm already finished, but not yet finished. Pigment of my imagination came to life, when I fancied sketching this character, and I even don't know who the hell he was. This explains my love for art. As my sensei (japanese term for "teacher"), Rammyboi, said, there are two types of people, one is closer to art, while other is closer on his analytics side, and I'm the one who see myself better in art.

Twilight breaks, and I was finished with my two subjects right in time. Off to desktop again. Well just consider the life of a FRUSTRATED IT STUDENT.

Reliving 2008, Welcoming 2009

It's been a long year. 2009 is already at its peek, while we left the memories we had in 2008. It's been a year of hardship, not just for a Frustrated Student™, but also to the country. I can barely remember what I have done the past months of 2008, all I know is, my bad deeds outnumbered my good deeds. Really. From the start of 2008, I started collecting photos, documented the moments, and recap the memories I've been through by seeing right through the photos. So how did you live 2008? Here's how I ended 2008. Are you up to read my activity highlights of the year 2008?

January THE SLEEPYHEADS and the HARDWORKERS: I've always wanted to sleep and sleep and sleep. I guess that's one of my good old times, but I wasn't able to beat my seatmate from sleeping and snoring out loud in a big classsroom discussion. While here goes the hardworkers, finding every inch of answer they could get when the professor gave a nosebleeding assignment, and quiz.

February PROM NIGHT: I guess everyone enjoyed their prom, except me and the Apocalypse. Everybody's boring, the sick-sounding band the organizers acquired and the food served tasted like sea-water.

March GRADUATION: everybody cried their emotions, well, I guess I've included myself in the one night drama we had in our Graduation Night. Everybody's eyes were bulging, while bidding temporary goodbyes.

April FIRST PIERCING and SUMMER FUN: I was shaking when the ear-piercing professional draw her hand on my piercing spot, my brain stopped working, but later, I was in great relief knowing that it is already finished. This month was also a month for our class section, making the most out of the summer, we decided to have a farewell party. I also got the chance to have my first set of Photography.

May COLLEGE and the CALLING: I enrolled my self at NDDU, with the course IT. I guess I have to live up the course which my sister really wanted. Nothing interesting

June LIFE AS A FRUSTRATED IT STUDENT™: The first semester began and life as a college student started. Meeting up the different faces of the University while making up the faces of those terror profs!

July PRINGLES AND LAKE SEBU: a combination of Pringles for the travel and experiencing the juicy tilapia of Lake Sebu for lunch, what more I could ask for? I'd consider those moments, a great time.

August INTRAMURALS AND MY MEDICATION: having the great time during intramurals as a freshman while being interupted by my asthma attacks which led to confinement in the hospital.

September STARTED TO BLOG: i don't know what pushed me to blog, but there's a sudden urge to write my personal experience everyday, so I started this blog.

October JOINED MBS2 AT GENSAN: I got the chance to participate in the summit's second year. Altough I'm new at this event, I got to meet new faces, including Joanna of Evexjux, and Sir Avel of Bariles Republic. I also learned a lot of things about blogging, while it helped me to create blog posts endorsing Mindanao, especially Gensan.

November HALLOWEEN AT GRAB-A-CRAB: we spent an unusual halloween eve at Grab-a-Crab and gathered sometime in Coffee Club 101. The place was camouflaging the halloween season, besides, there are also roaming group of weirdo vampires and a petite sadako in line with their trick-or-treat promo.

PLURK CITY: I was influence with those widgets I see in everyone's blog, so I explored plurk, and started enjoying it. My karma number is 71.

December EARLY CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION WITH THE APOCALYPSE AND LOGO REQUESTS: I recently took a night-out with the my group, Apocalypse, to have our early Christmas celebration so that each of us could celebrate with our respective families. I guess the old times were put back to life again during our city-strolling.

Litratong Pinoy 7: Mahalagang Regalo

Hanapin nyo ako sa litratong ito

Se jeep, todo ingay ng barkada, nagpapakahulugan lang ng di pagsang-ayon ng mga nakatabing matatanda. Tawa dito, at tawa doon, kahit problema sa eskwela'y kinakalimutan, matungghayan lang ang pagtawa ng buong grupo.

Sa classroom, naghahanap ng bakanteng upuan makatabi lang ang kachismis na classmate. Sa isang napakatahimik na klase, na sinasabayan rin ng nakakaantok na titser, hayun pinatugtog ang "Kung Liligaya Ka" ni Imelda Papin mula sa cellphone na kinagigiliwan tuwing lunch time. Pag dating ng examination day, todo tago at yuko nang ulo para lang makapanggoodtime at maipareho ang mga sagot sa katabing wala ring alam sa mga pinagsasagot niya.

Ganyan ang dating namin nung nilalakbay pa ang mga huling araw ng hayskul, matapang, maingay, at higit sa lahat, walang kinatatakutan, para bang isang tagline ng balita. Kahit ganyan ang naging asal namin, natuto rin kaming maging seryoso at pilit na ipinasok sa isip na matutong tumanda kahit minsan. Naging "Black Sheep" ang aming seksyon ng dahil na rin sa amin. Ngunit masaya naman kami.

Nagtaka ka ba kung bakit ganito na lang ang mga nailagay ko sa lahok na ito? Isang punto lang ang nais kong ibahagi sa inyo, at iyon ay ang linyang, "The best things in life aren't things", kung nakuha mo ang ibig ipahiwatig ng linya, malalaman mong napakahalaga ng mga taong nakapaligid sayo, lalung-lalo na ang mga KAIBIGAN. Masasabi kong isang pack Mahahalagang Regalo ang natanggap at nakita ko nung ako'y hayskul.

Sa tingin mo? May mahalagang regalo ka rin bang natanngap ng tulad ko? Maligayang LP!

Capturing Realities

I've already got my blog on the first month, and it was already october, and I'm feeling more excited to post some of my daily experience here, on my electronic journal. Anyway, yesterday, the last day of the month September, my camera's got some snapshots of the outside world, I mean, the realities of our life. Here are some of my photographs taken when I was strolling outside the school and all are in black and white tone:

SA MANGGAHAN: i've taken this photo at a mango stand along the school with a woman, slicing mangoes for a living.

NAGHULAT: walking along, I've found this two children playing along, and waiting for their mother and father.

KURYENTE: on the edge of the marist avenue (our school street), I've arrived at unfixed wirings that may cause accidents.

Seeing these things, or so much for the reality, may make us feel bitter, but that's life, as they say "no pain, no game", or as Forrest Gump said, "Life is a box of chocolate, you never know what you'll get".

Reviewing for the Finals

I've just got a 1-hour break for posting my latest school experience.

It's been a hectic previous week, and now it has been more busy and I can feel the pressure being a college student. We've been busy throughout this day. I've been into the school clinic for a medial checkup, and at last, I had completed the clinic checkup, and fortunately my clearance had been signed.

Other hectic jobs are still bothering my mind, the division clearance which I have acquired is still incomplete, due to my absences in General Assemblies, and other events such as clean-up drive. I also got my statement of account. Godd thing I'm already halfway through the signing of clearance, but still, God, I hate this day. Its so hectic, I'm not used to it.

I've been studying my subjects recently, thats why maybe I'll be partially out from blogging around 3 to 4 days. But will be updating from time to time, if I have a vacant. The schedule for exam is next week, and i'm not yet done reviewing those other subjects. Hopefully, I'll finish it smoothly.
